From Ben – 15 November 2020

Today after church we will hold our AGM. This is a time for us to reflect on this past year and record how the work of God in GPC has progressed, acknowledging God’s hand upon us.

It has been a year with some unusual challenges and hardships, however I can’t help but be grateful and thankful to God for the good place we find ourselves in at our church and in N.Z. In other parts of the world people have been in lockdown for many months and many churches are still unable to meet. We experienced 2 lockdowns for only a few weeks, but by Gods’ grace we have bounded back to full strength once again.

Our church community has stepped up to the challenge and I have seen care, concern, generosity and compassion shown to many. We have been able to set up a relief fund that continues to help people in need, and our church income has not suffered. God in grace has blessed us, and I for one, want to express my gratitude to the Lord for His evident hand upon our church and its various ministries.

I am aware that there are some of our people who are finding the Covid-19 pandemic difficult. As the church of Jesus Christ, let’s continue to show the love, grace and compassion of Christ. It is in times like these that the true church shows itself strong to love and serve.

Will you join me in thanking God for His blessing and the privilege of being part of a faith community like GPC.
