From Ben – 27 September 2015

Despite the fact that G.P.C. is a medium sized family church, we punch above our weight in many ways when it comes to sending people out in the service of God.

Over the years at least 20 of our people have given themselves to full time ministry or mission work and in more recent years 2 of our elders have studied and have become ministers who are serving the Presbyterian Church as ordained ministers. We also are currently giving 12% of our total income toward local and overseas mission work.

This Sunday we will be hearing from Erin and Melanie as they share their plans to set out into the mission field for the next 3 years. God has place on their hearts a desire to serve in the volatile and challenging area of the Middle East. More specifically they will be working with the internationally recognised mission organisation ‘Interserve’. This Sunday we will hear their story and their hopes and dreams for this hugely challenging mission assignment.

As a church we need to step up to pledge our love, help, prayer and support. We cannot all go, but they are prepared to go for us. We can get behind them with prayer and financial support.

Let us never forget that Jesus’ last command to his church is that we go into all the world and preach the gospel. Let us support these ambassadors as they “go”.
