From Ben – 4 June 2017
This past week has been quite a challenge as I, like so many others, have been hit with my first cold of the winter. On Thursday, I felt drained of energy and so congested. A congregation member who is overseas, unaware of my weak state, was prompted to send me an encouraging devotion headed, “You have the energy of God”. It was just what I needed at the time. The article clearly points to Psalm 68, which clearly speaks of God, who gives all the power we need.
How encouraged I felt at that moment, knowing that at my weak moment, all I had to do was call out to God, who would give me strength to get through a difficult day. May I encourage you today to call out to Him. He is the God of power and strength. You too, may feel weak, depleted, and run down. God gives strength to the weary and causes his people, who call out to Him, to rise up on wings like eagles.
Ps 68:28 Summon your power, O God, show us your strength, O God, as you have done before.
