Many years ago I used to run marathons and ultra marathons. I never ran to win. That was the domain of just a few in the race. The vast majority of the participants aimed to keep going as well as possible to the end and to finish well. I want to encourage you to stay the course of lockdown and not become discouraged.
Sadly, things are not looking good and it appears that we will still have some form of restrictions for some time to come. Let us stay the course, see it through and finish well. Like you, I can’t wait to be back together in praise and worship and enjoying the Christian community. I will certainly value Christian fellowship and community more than I did in past years. Let me leave you with a verse that we discovered in our recent home group Bible study.
1 Corinthians 16: 13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.14 Do everything in love.
