It may surprise you to know that we are only 2 weeks away from Easter 2016! It has come so quickly that I feel in many ways the year has just started.
May I encourage you to start preparing now for Easter. I believe we will get most from this special time of the year if we start thinking and reflecting on the whole Easter event. What about setting aside time to read the Easter story in the 4 gospels? Each gospel tells this great drama in a different way, shedding new light and different angles on this history-making event. Alternatively, you may prefer to go online and find a programme designed to lead you in devotions into the Easter event. The You Version Bible app is particularly creative with interesting reading plans.
May I also encourage you that if you have children in the home to start reading and discussing with them regarding the Easter event and all that it means to us as Christians. Let us not let this Easter just pass without making a concerted effort to refocus on its meaning and implications.
