International Sunday is always a highlight in the life of our church. Over the years I have always looked forward to celebrating our wide diversity as a church.

The N.T. refers to the church as the body of Christ. There are 2 things that strike me in this very appropriate image of what the true church of Jesus Christ is.

As a body has lots of different parts, some highly visible, and others hidden and private, so too GPC church is made up of a wide variety of people who work in different ways, some public, up-front, seen and heard, but of equal value there are some of our team who are quiet and unseen.

All are of equal importance and we work best when we all work together for the common good.

The other truth that I notice about G.P.C. is that it has the spark of life, a vibrancy and energy. Our church seems to have a dynamic energy, a vibrant life, when we meet together, as the people of God.

It is my prayer that God would continue to bless our diverse and growing church with his presence and Holy Spirit and that we will see more and more people of every race and language find a spiritual home in our midst.

All the believers were together and had everything in common. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.  Acts 2:44-47
